Over my Thanksgiving Break as we were heading back towards home, we took a detour to Old Salem and toured that to end our holiday weekend. While we were there, we found out about their special Candle Teas they have during the Christmas season, so we headed back up to Old Salem this past Saturday and experienced an old fashion Christmas celebration. This video highlights just what a Candle Tea entails. Interesting enough, they don't serve tea at a CT but Moravian Coffee along with Moravian Sugar Cake. It was fun to start off the Christmas season celebrating the birth of Jesus by singing Christmas Hymns and watching how candles are made at Old Salem. They also have 2 putz dioramas which include The Nativity Christmas Story and a model of the town of Old Salem. You can also find out more about it at this link
